Mr. Pineda is himself a refugee, an immigrant, a veteran, and naturalized American citizen. Mr. Pineda has been advocating for the American dream by exclusively practicing U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law since 1996. He obtained his law degree in 1996 from Southern Methodist University School of Law, and the Texas Supreme Court licensed him that same year. He represents clients at U.S. consulates around the world, and at USCIS offices and immigration courts across the nation. He has also been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1999.

Mr. Pineda frequently speaks on radio and before local church congregations on immigration options for families. He has been a featured guest at local bar associations and continuing legal education events where he lectures on the immigration consequences of crimes. He also had the great pleasure of presenting his thesis on “The Historical Basis of U.S. Immigration” to a local chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution–a wonderful organization that, among other things, provides the color guard at the local naturalization ceremonies.
Prior to law school, Mr. Pineda served in the U.S. Air Force as a commissioned officer. He mainly served in the Pacific Theater as a war planner, combat communications officer, and flight commander. In addition to his law degree from Southern Methodist University, Mr. Pineda holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
